Stories From May

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

What does personal readiness mean to you? We asked students, teachers, and faculty around Lakeville Area Schools exactly that. These bright students walk through how they prepare to learn, handle stress, and pursue excellence. Take a look and hear what they have to say with our ongoing series: Show and Tell.

What's New in May

Authentic storytelling is winning over polished marketing

Families, volunteers, and community members have become remarkably good at spotting content that was made for them versus content that was made for views and analytics. The stock photos, the carefully curated captions, the announcements dressed up as stories, it’s something they’ll scroll right past. So what’s sticking? Genuine moments, authentic reactions, and real voices. Those have a a certain spirit to them that stops the scroll every time.

And here’s the thing: the most compelling stories your organization has to tell aren’t sitting in a marketing brief.

They’re in the work you’re already doing every single day. They’re the person whose life looks different because of your mission. The team member who went above and beyond. The moment nobody planned for but everybody felt.

Authentic storytelling isn’t a production strategy, it’s a permission slip to stop overthinking it and start capturing what’s already there.

Captivate Academy: training Made For You

If you work in communications, marketing, or media, you already know. The job description never quite captures the entirety of everything you do. Video production, graphic design, strategic communications, and social media responsibilities, and that’s all before lunch. The good news? You don’t have to do it all by yourself. Captivate Academy is our hands-on training built specifically for communicators and their teams.

You work hard to show up for your community every day. You deserve the tools and the confidence to get it done. Feel like this resonates? Hit the button for a free 30 minute session to learn more.

Everything Behind the scenes

May has been our fullest production month so far in 2026. Lot’s of filmings, conferences, and events that kept us running around, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
