Voting information can be difficult for school districts to succinctly communicate. Working with districts across Minnesota on communication issues, we saw a need to create a short video for social media to help explain how to vote early and how to vote on election day.
While the video above may look a little strange in the shape of a square on a website, this was a strategic decision. This video was created with the social media viewer in mind. Square videos typically have a higher level of engagement and also appear 78% larger on mobile devices than standard videos.
This video also includes important text on-screen because research tells us 85% of viewers on Facebook watch videos with the volume turned off.
We crafted this video to help all school districts in Minnesota communicate the November 7, 2017 election. This video can be used freely without attribution by any school district in the state. The video can also be customized with your specific voting information for a small fee by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please find several options to use this video below. If you are planning to use this video on social media, please use the download option.
Download video file – best option!
Video link – Note, for social media it is best to download the video file, then upload it to Facebook. This allows the video to auto-play in a news feed rather than needing to click a link.
